That impact is now being recognized on a national stage, as Heidi Wolf, MSN, R.N., chief nursing officer at DeTar Healthcare System, has been named one of Becker’s Healthcare 2025 “CNOs to Know.” The honor recognizes nursing leaders who excel in navigating today’s most complex healthcare challenges, from workforce sustainability to clinical excellence. This marks the fourth time Wolf has received the distinction, having also been recognized in 2017, 2023 and 2024.
Wolf, who has been an executive nurse leader for over 20 years, has served DeTar Healthcare System for the past six years. In the past two years, Wolf introduced a new nurse graduate program focused on intensive care unit (ICU) nursing, which has successfully welcomed 11 new ICU nurses to DeTar. In addition to her role at DeTar, Wolf serves on the board of directors for the Hope of South Texas Child Advocacy Center, where she contributes her knowledge to advocate for vulnerable children in the community.
