DeTar Healthcare System Awards Volunteer Services Scholarship to Local Student

Victoria, TX — DeTar Healthcare System is proud to announce the recipient of the 2025 DeTar Volunteer Student Scholarship, an annual award designed to support and encourage students pursuing careers in the healthcare field. This year’s scholarship has been awarded to Luke Parker, a dedicated and passionate student currently working towards a degree in physical therapy at Texas State University.

The DeTar Volunteer Student Scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence and a commitment to the healthcare profession. “Luke has exemplified these values through academic success and his determination to pursue a career in physical therapy, making him a deserving recipient of this scholarship,” said Patty Scevers, DeTar Volunteer Services Inc. president.

Students interested in applying for the DeTar Volunteer Student Scholarship must be pursuing a degree related to healthcare.
