What Does It Really Mean to Live Longer? DeTar Launches Longevity-Focused Email Series Starting Sept. 15
8/27/2025
With more Americans living well into their 80s and 90s, DeTar Healthcare System is taking a proactive step in helping the community not just live longer, but live better.
On September 15, DeTar will launch Enjoy the Ride: Navigating a Longer, Healthier Life, a free, 12-day email series that breaks down the most important aspects of healthy aging. From maintaining muscle and bone strength to preventing cognitive decline and organ deterioration, the series provides science-backed tips to help people live with energy, independence, and purpose—no matter their age.
“Longevity isn’t just about how many birthdays you celebrate—it’s about your ability to carry groceries, travel, or chase your grandkids,” said Dr. Donald Breech, orthopedic surgeon at DeTar Healthcare System. “People often wait until they’re older to think about these things, but it’s much easier to prevent decline than reverse it. Starting in your 20s or 30s can lead to better mobility, fewer injuries, and greater independence down the road.”
The series will address the most common age-related health challenges—like joint deterioration, sleep disorders, cardiovascular disease, and more—while also offering encouragement, prevention tips, and a chance to win health-themed prizes along the way.
DeTar is inviting the public to sign up and take part in this one-of-a-kind “road trip” through the human body, designed to promote health, independence, and vitality for life. Sign up for the free series at www.DeTar.com/enjoy-the-ride.
