Located on the DeTar Hospital North Campus, The Women's Diagnostic Center provides the latest in technology for diagnosis and treatment of health issues unique to women. DeTar's Mammography Department focuses on the prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer. For patients with any mammography abnormalities, The Women's Center uses the Advanced Breast Biopsy Instrument, also known as the ABBI, to perform a minimally invasive breast biopsy to determine the nature of an abnormality under local anesthesia. The ABBI procedure increases the accuracy of the biopsy and decreases the time for the Surgeon to get the results, With the ABBI, the patient is allowed to come into the center minutes before the procedure and able to leave the center soon after the biopsy, capable of proceeding with their normal, daily activities. The tissue sample is immediately sent to a pathologist for a definitive diagnosis.

At the Women's Center, evaluating a patient's risk factor for fractures due to osteoporosis is possible through a safe and comfortable examination that calculates a patient's Bone Mineral Density using the Lunar DPX-IQ Bone Densitometry Table. Using a minimal amount of radiation, the densitometer measures changes in bone density precisely, providing valuable information in the assessment of metabolic bone disease. The patient spends only minutes on the reclining table, fully clothed in a relaxing environment.
