Volunteers at DeTar Hospital help make a hospital stay more comfortable by performing special services for patients, visitors, and the staff.
Our junior volunteer program for 14-17 year olds runs from June - August each year.
Benefits of Volunteering
- A volunteer uniform provided
- For each 4 hour shift volunteered, you will receive 1 complimentary meal for the hospital café
- Volunteers age 50+ who provide a minimum of hours of service a week will be given a free membership to Senior Circle

Gift Shops
Monies raised through the gift shop sales and fundraisers are donated to local charities such as Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity and more. Money is also donated to our local College for allied health scholarships.
