Open and fully operational since 1986 in Victoria, DeTar Health Center is a comprehensive fitness and wellness facility. Supervised by degreed and certified fitness specialists, the Health Center staff consists of registered dieticians, nationally certified group fitness instructors, personal trainers, and massage therapists. The Health Center team is available to assist in creating individualized fitness programs for all ages.
Programs for Everyone
Adult Fitness Programs are personalized for the individual who wants to work at his or her own pace. The client’s program will be designed to fit their specific needs, whether they have physical or health limitations or special goals in mind. The staff will assist in planning a program that will help achieve better overall health.
DeTar Health Center Group Fitness classes are offered at a variety of times for your convenience. The intensity level of classes offered range from beginner or de-conditioned to the more advanced or high intensity. Please see the Group Fitness Schedule for class times. ALL Group Fitness Instructors are CERTIFIED.
Pool and Aquatics Classes A 25 yard lap pool, whirlpool, locker/shower facility are part of the DeTar membership. Aquatic classes are taught by nationally certified instructors and are offered at many times throughout the week. These classes are a great way to start your fitness program, or to cross train for the regular athlete. Classes are also recommended for injury rehabilitation, arthritic individuals and pre and post natal women. Please see the Group Fitness Schedule below for class times and open/lap swim times.
Certified Personal Trainers Nationally certified trainers are available to work one on one with you to help you reach your fitness goals. Our knowledgeable trainers offer reasonable rates and flexible hours to work around your schedule.
Registered Massage Therapists Our massage therapists combine over fifty years of experience. Their expertise ranges from sports massage, to deep tissue, to reflexology.
Corporate Wellness Program discounts are offered to area businesses and industries. Call for more information about our corporate rates.
Free Childcare The Health Center offers free childcare to our members. Ages 4 months to 10 years old are welcome. Please pick up an information and rule sheet when visiting.

Fitness Equipment from leading manufacturers in the industry includes Matrix, Cybex, Precor and more. DeTar Health Center updates cardio equipment every two years to better serve you!
